What data do we Collate?
We collate and analyse information about the people and communities of West Wales, alongside information about health, social care and support services. This includes population trends, current and future care and support needs, feedback from people who use services, and information about the availability and sustainability of care providers.
Why do we Collate data?
Data helps us understand the needs of people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire, both now and in the future. We use this information to identify emerging challenges, assess whether services are meeting demand, and ensure resources are targeted where they are needed most. Through our Population Needs Assessment (PNA) and Market Stability Report (MSR), we build a clear picture of local needs, expectations and service capacity across the region.
How do we use data?
The insights gained from our assessments help shape how health, care and wellbeing services are planned and delivered across West Wales. The findings from the Population Needs Assessment and Market Stability Report inform our Regional Area Plan, which sets out our priorities and actions. These then support commissioning strategies, service development and collaboration between partners to improve outcomes for people and communities across the region.
