We have listened to your feedback from the 2024 West Wales Health and Social Care Awards and are excited to announce expanded categories for 2025!

Nominations close on the 12th January 2025. After the nomination deadline,  a panel of WWRPB members will shortlist the top three nominees in each category.

Categories for 2025

Volunteer of the Year

The Volunteer of the Year Award recognises an exceptional individual who has demonstrated outstanding commitment, dedication, and impact through their volunteer work in the health or social care environment.

This award is for an individual that has supported local health, care or wellbeing services. This could be through:
•Providing support and information to people; need to be qualified to offer advice
•Helping people to maintain or improve their quality of life;
•Helping people to improve or maintain their health and wellbeing;
•Adding value to health, social care or wellbeing services.

Outstanding Contribution (To health & social care) Award

This category celebrates an individual or team that made an outstanding contribution or achievement within the health and social care sector in West Wales.

Team of the Year Award

This category celebrates the team who have shown excellence in collaboration and partnership working by:
•Demonstrating positive impact by forming, developing or transforming a team.
•Enabling improvements in the lives of West Wales citizens.
•Creating positive change through team working.
•Demonstrating measurable improvements through team working, collaboration and partnership working

The Rising Star Award

This award celebrates career professionals who demonstrate outstanding potential, innovation, and dedication to improving the lives of the people in West Wales by:
•Demonstrating a creative and innovative approach to their work, leading to new ideas or solutions which have led to a positive impact.
•Delivering high quality work which exceeds their role.
•Showing strong leadership qualities, which inspires others.

Creating a Legacy Award

This award seeks to acknowledge an individual who has created a lasting impact in the health and social care sector. This can be an improvement, service change or culture change for the people of West Wales.  

Inspirational Leadership Award

This award honours acknowledges those who have provided exceptional guidance, support, and inspiration, fostering their growth and potential, by:
•Inspiring and motivating others to pursue their roles and encouraging them to make a difference
•Demonstrating that wellbeing is at the heart of the work.

Working in Partnership Award

This category celebrates:
•A project or a team who have demonstrated true co-production and continuous user led leadership and collaboration.
•Has demonstrated a positive impact on a service, project or team via genuine co-production.
•Can identify the key factors that led to comprehensive user involvement.
•Can demonstrate a service, project or team that was co-designed and delivered by users within West Wales.
•Can identify measurable improvements achieved through user involvement and co-production.

Citizen & Third Sector Choice Award
