WWRPB ⎸ Driving Change
Get Involved
We encourage the active involvement and engagement of individuals who use health and social care services, as well as their families and caregivers, in the decision-making process of the WWRPB. They help to inform and shape the planning and delivery of services.

Who Can Get Involved?
We want to hear from people who've used health or social care services or who work for third sector organisations in the sector. There are no limits to the amount of representatives who can join us.

How can you get involved?
There are three ways to get involved with the West Wales Regional Partnership Board:
Citizen and Third Sector Engagement Board
West Wales Communication and Engagement Drop In Meeting
Support Groups and Third Sector Network

We are here to support you
Our meetings are inclusive and open to all. We offer both in-person and online options, and understand that life gets busy—no commitment to attend every meeting required.
Create meaningful change
Joining the citizen and third sector engagement board
Want to get more involved in your area? The Citizen and Third Sector Board is a great way to do that. You can help create and improve services in West Wales. You can help change how things are done and we will show you how your feedback makes things better
You can provide a valuable perspective to the needs of people in West Wales, and help ensure that the decisions being made are informed by the people who use the services provided.
The board will run every 2 months in person and online, it is okay if you could not make it to every meeting.
In addition to the board meetings, we also offer other specific meetings you might be interested in attending. You can choose to attend these instead of the citizen engagement meetings, or even go to both!
We welcome all new members to the team with an induction. This is where we would help you understand your role and what the WWRPB does.
You will receive dedicated support for all practical issues. This includes help with IT support, claiming expenses, accessing meeting papers, and ensuring documents are circulated promptly.
Proportionate out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed, including travelling and carer expenses.
Our meetings are designed to be easy to join, either online or in person. We start by making sure everyone feels welcome with introductions and updates. Then, we dive into discussions about important local services. You’ll have the chance to learn about and contribute to topics such as the West Wales Carers Strategy, how to improve community health, and the hospital discharge process. We believe everyone’s voice matters, and we want you to share your perspective.
Whether you’re connected with other support groups in West Wales or simply want to share your own experiences, your voice matters. You can bring the perspectives of local groups to our meetings, or share your personal insights on health, social care, and wellbeing. You’ll also help us spread the word about important events across the region. Every contribution helps us build a stronger, healthier community for everyone.

Sharing information
Joining the West Wales Communication and Engagement Drop In Meeting
Do you work on how your organisation or group shares information and connects with others? We have developed a monthly drop in meeting where we share information on events, any ongoing engagement work and previous research.
Every month, we host a brief online meeting on Microsoft Teams, lasting up to one hour. It’s a space for us to share information (always within GDPR rules) about upcoming events and communication campaigns in West Wales. By sharing, we avoid overlapping efforts and work towards more efficient communication. This helps us all reach more people and have a greater impact on our community’s health and wellbeing.
An updated excel document will be shared after each meeting which will include contact information, events and communication campaigns.
The meeting has a recurring agenda, including:
• Introductions (in the chat bar, including your name and role description)
• Any ongoing engagement work, its purpose and intended outcomes (e.g. surveys, consultations, workshops or marketing campaigns across the West Wales – a space to disscus sharing resources and identifying relevant collaboration.)
• Any planned events ongoing across the region (e.g. target audience, purpose, who is supporting/ attending)
• Any research required (e.g. a space to share previously conducted research, engagement, consultation, etc. (following GDPR))
• AOB
This meeting is for professionals who handle communication and engagement for their organisation or support group. You’re welcome to join as often as you like, or simply be added to our mailing list for updates. Contact us to get involved.

Joining the Support Groups and Third Sector Network

We want to collaborate with you on projects that are relevant to you.
We value your expertise and want to collaborate on projects that matter to your support group or organisation. To make the best use of everyone’s time, we’ll only contact you when projects directly relate to your area of focus, offering opportunities for consultation or joint development. By working together, we can ensure our initiatives effectively serve the West Wales community.
You can choose how you’d like to participate. We can facilitate the discussion at your organisation or group, or we can provide you with the materials to conduct the consultation or project at a time that works best for you.
